This is the third of a four part article over the course of the 2018 / 2019 season (Part 1 and Part 2). We’ve now reached the three quarters point of the season and into the final section of the fixture list. We’ll be covering the period from Saturday 12th January to Sunday 17th February for all the Senior and Junior Teams. We’ll look at how each team have got on and also where they are in their respective leagues (if applicable).
Ladies 1st XI
MRHAWL – Midlands Feeder East
After a long break Christmas break the Ladies 1st XI got back into league action in February, and have so far have played three games. A disappointing draw with Belper and not being able to win against league leaders Repton has left the Ladies remaining in 3rd position, 5 points behind top spot. With still seven games left in the season there’s still plenty of hockey to play and with results going their way a push for top spot isn’t out of the question.

Ladies 2nd XI
LRHA Ladies – Premier Division
Again the league didn’t restart until February and the Ladies 2nd XI have only played two games through victory in both has solidified their position in 2nd place. There are however 7 points behind league leaders Loughborough Students 4th XI, who have only dropped points in one game all season. With the return fixture against the Students being played in the penultimate game of the season, the Ladies will be hoping to be in a position to make that game count.

Ladies 3rd XI
LRHA Ladies – Division 1
The Ladies 3rd XI have continued their impressive first season form with another two wins in the first two games of 2019 without conceding a goal. They remain in 3rd place only 3 points behind top place, however Charnwood Ladies in 2nd place have two games in hand, though still to play the ladies in the return fixture. So the Ladies have a real chance to push for the top sport in the league which would be a massive achievement in their first season.

Men’s 1st XI
MRHA – T1: Midlands Premier
A solidarity win since the Christmas break hasn’t been able to move the Men’s 1st XI up the table and they remain in 10th place. A morale boosting win against bottom of the table Boots has been the only points this half of the season. Mathematically now unable to break into the top four places (which comes National League promotion), the Men will be playing for pride the rest of the season.

Men’s 2nd XI
MRHA – T1: Midlands 2
The Men’s 2nd XI have continued their rise in the table and now sit in 4th place (which should be promotion in the next league). Their impressive unbeaten streak of eight games ended in January when Leek came away 5-2 winners. With tough opposition ahead, they still have to play the top two, it’ll be a challenge which the Men will relish. They have already beaten Nottingham University who sit third in the table (this side of Christmas) in an impressive 2-0 win, so it’s all to play for.

Men’s 3rd XI
MRHA – T2: East Midlands 1
The Men’s 3rd XI haven’t been able to add any points since the Christmas break but have been scoring plenty of goals, though still conceding to many. Again not playing for the full game has cost the team in which some games could have been converted into points. Still plenty to play for the rest of the season, with some winnable games coming up.

Men’s 4th XI
MRHA – T3: North East 1
The Men’s 4th XI have continued their solid start to the first half of the season solidifying their position in 6th place. Whilst getting to the top of the table is probably out of their reach now, they have winnable games which could see they get to at least 5th place, which considering the teams above them would be a great result for the season.

Men’s 5th XI

The Men’s 5th XI are another team which have kept par with their league position. After an impressive run of four victories the team have lost their last two games to top of the table sides. Again with seven games left there is still time for the team to push into the upper part of the table.
