LTHC Men’s 1st XI 2 at West Bridgford Men’s 1st XI 2

Loughborough Town Men’s 1st XI travelled to West Bridgford with confidence after a good first half of the season.
Town started brightly moving the ball around the pitch with ease. After 15 minutes Town won a short corner, which Ian Johnston lashed home. Looking to take the slim lead into halftime wasn’t to be for Town, as West Bridgford turn the ball over twice in midfield near the end of the first half, both of which led to goals. 2-1 to the home side at the half.
Town regained their composure in the second half, with Hoddle winning a penalty flick which Johnston slotted home for his second of the game. Both teams had chances in the last few minutes of the game, none of which were taken.
A game Town would have ideally liked to have picked up three points, but it wasn’t to be. It means that Town drop one place into 4th place, though will now look to next week’s game at home against 6th place Leek.
