LTHC Ladies’ 2nd XI 4 vs LTHC Ladies’ 1st XI 0

LRHA Ladies – Premier Division

Saturday 26th September 2020

Loughborough Town 2nd XI dusted off their sticks and headed back on to the pitch for the local derby against Loughborough Town 3rd XI. Town 2nd XI started strong with an early goal from Sally Eastwood. This calmed the team down and set them into their stride for the rest of the game.

Another great goal from Izzy Briggs and from defender Daisy Perry-Mitchel saw the 2nd XI go into the half time break 3-0 up. The first half of the game showed real promise for the rest of the season and the team linked up well with strength from the defence and well timed passes from the midfield.

After the half time break Town 3rd XI came out strong and really brought the game to the home side. After winning a couple of back to back corners the 2nd XI realised they needed to step up their game.  Continuing to press high, they finally got their reward with a second half goal from Imogen Relf. The final score was 4-0 win, though was a well fought game from both sides.
